Being my first attempt at ceramics, I approached this project with a curiosity to explore the material through trial and error. Despite several setbacks, I found that working with smaller scale pieces and embracing the bold ‘realistic’ identity of Bordallo Pinheiro led to the creation of more successful designs. With a preexisting aesthetic, the focus became functionality.
